Keesha
is an American bobcat. She was owned by a couple who wanted her to
act like a regular house cat.
She was 1 year old when she
came to the Refuge. Keesha had been beated and kicked because she
did not act like a domestic cat. Her back and pelvic was broken. She
had no hair except for a tuft on top of her head and her teeth had
began to rot due to an improper diet.
They had only fed her cat food. She
weighed 6 pounds, when she should have weighed 20 pounds.
We do not know what damage was
done to her internal organs but she does not seem to be in pain.
By the time she reached the Refuge, she had given up. Her owners had
taken away her will to live.
Keesha will always be crippled and arthritic from her early beatings
and treatment |
