A highly endangered Siberian tiger. Baby Shiro was confiscated by law enforcement officials in Arkansas. He was found in a small cage approximately 12' X 20' with 30 other tigers who ranged in age from 3 months to 4 years. There was no covering to protect these poor cats from the hot summer sun or freezing rain. There was no grass only mud, water and the waste of the cats which was up to his tummy, he couldn't even lie down.
Baby Shiro was very small and malnourished as he had to fight for any scrap of food that he could get. This was not an easy task because all the
other tigers were bigger than he, even though he was older than some.
Why, you ask, were these magnificent animals kept in such deplorable conditions, because the man who owned them was waiting for an order of a certain size. You see, this man killed the tigers to make and sell for rugs!

Baby Shiro is now a big, beautiful tiger who has lots of grass, a two-story house and a large habitat. Most importantly, he has found love, peace and contentment at the Exotic Cat Refuge and Wildlife Orphanage.
