Established
in 1989 and incorporated in 1993. The refuge is nestled on 25 acres in the piney woods of east Texas. It was founded as a permanent retirement home for wild, exotic and endangered non-releasable animals. We give them food, shelter, companionship, love and security.  What are we? The Exotic Cat Refuge & Wildlife Orphanage is a non profit sanctuary for exotic and non-releasable animals that have been abused, abandoned or illegally obtained. Most of the animals at the refuge were rescued by federal and state wildlife protective agencies and brought here in order to receive medical care, feeding and social rehabilitation.
